July 14, 1947, Lubbock, Texas Married since 1969 to Albert A. Cutri, DDS, MD (gardener extraordinaire and early California art collector). Two sons, A. Michael (second-year law student) and Nicholas (college freshman). Household usually includes various animalsdogs and cats. Studio/home on the site of the historic Mission Cliff Gardens, which also inspired many early San Diego Pleine-aire painters.

owner-decorator, Inside Out/Sharon Cutri, San Diego, CA, 1978-1988; president,
North County Council of Auxiliaries, Children's Home Society, 1986-1988;
teacher, Italian cooking classes.
Studied with: Joe Garcia (1982); Mary Baumgarten (1988); watercolor workshop with Jan Kunz (1992); Ken Goldman at the Athenaeum, La Jolla, CA (1993).
Inspired by study of the early California impressionists and their traditional approach to interpreting light and landscape. Travels in Italy and France provide additional motivation. Favorite subjects closer to home include flowers from the garden in still-life arrangements or in situ, and people (portraiture and figure-study). Media: watercolors, oils, and pastels.
Professional memberships: San Diego Portrait Society, San Diego Pastel Society, San Diego Art Institute, member of the Market Street Group, San Diego (1993-1994). Honors and awards: 1994 Juror's Award at the annual San Diego Pastel show, jurored by Robert Pincus; selected to contribute two works to UCLA's Tiverton House, 1994. Yearly representation in the San Diego Pastel Society's juried show. Paintings in private and corporate collections in California, Texas, Nebraska, Illinois, Connecticut, and Germany. Member of the Connoisseur Board of the Timken Museum, San Diego, the Historical Collections Council of the Orange County Museum of Art, patron member of the California Art Club.
